Vielleicht gilt Ähnliches auch für Kakao?
Robusta coffee is primarily grown in Vietnam, Tim Harford, titled More or Less, January 24. analysed the additional costs of rerouting container ships around SA instead of using the Red Sea and Suez Canal, that other factors are much more important in cost increases. A typical fuel cost of $3m per ship has increased by $1m (+33%) because of the additional length of the journey. But the extra shipping cost is much more significant. Because ships are tied up for longer, a company that required 14 ships now requires 17. The price per container has increased astronomically, from less than $2000 per container in early December to $6000 per container today, a 200% increase. One other important fact: 1 in 5 container ships goes through the Red Sea, and more than 90% of these are being redirected because it?s container ships that have been most targeted by the Houthi rebels.
